About the speaker:
Growing up on a plant nursery, I became entranced with the unusual, and so carnivorous plants were exceptionally appealing to me from the very beginning. I also appreciate other plants and now hybridize Tropical Hibiscus. I have many carnivorous plants inside the greenhouses with the hibiscus where these captivating carnivorous plants gobble up bugs and look extraordinarily beautiful at the same time. And I have several bog pots outside that are a home to some of the most exquisitely alluring carnivorous plants in the world. This love of plants and gardening made me want to share that joy with others so I became a Master Gardner for the County of Los Angeles. Many people in Los Angeles don’t realize that carnivorous plants are really quite easy to take care of if you fulfill their basic needs. I enjoy educating people about these plants because they are a spectacular reminder that all things are possible - we see that in nature.
